JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Responsibilities
- Prepare the overall strategy for business units and ensure alignment with the organization's general strategic objectives.
- Ensure consistency between operational plans, policies, procedures, and transformation plans of business units with the organization's overall goals and purposes.
- Appoint department heads and managers for business units and delegate responsibilities to them.
- Drive and develop the organization by speaking at industry conferences and participating in local events.
- Define and develop the overall leadership structure for cities through the organizational assessment process for professional and leadership development.
- Achieve alignment between all operations and resource management with the organization's mission, vision, values, goals, and strategic commitments.
- Identify key performance indicators and important processes to utilize best practices and ensure adherence to these indicators.
- Verify, oversee, and monitor cost activation initiatives to utilize resources efficiently.
- Develop business unit action plans and their respective budgets, ensuring adherence to the approved budget.
- Develop policies, processes, and systems for the organization's support functions based on best practices in the industry.
- Leverage continuous improvements in strategies, technologies, and tools across all aspects of the job.
- Develop core processes and systems dedicated to monitoring business operations performance in the organization, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and preparing periodic reports for management to maintain focus on development.
- Develop a functional strategy for shared services by identifying short- and long-term requirements for key departments, including human resources, finance, IT, procurement, warehouses, and administrative affairs.
- Act as a key member of the senior group responsible for strategic planning in the organization.
- Review reports submitted by staff to recommend approvals or necessary changes.
- Supervise and direct daily operations of business units, reviewing service quality and the time taken to deliver services related to those operations while providing insights on the end user.
- Promote the organization's interests by discussing its contracts at industry conferences and participating in local events.
- Interact with stakeholders, partners, suppliers, and contractors, providing necessary inputs to resolve significant issues, disputes, and other challenges faced by the organization while ensuring the protection of its interests.
- Participate in board meetings as well as meetings held with the organization's president as needed.
- Conduct meetings with departments in the cities, assess performance, and provide insights for development while establishing accountability among operational owners.
- Disseminate necessary information to subordinates and supervisors.
- Evaluate subordinates periodically in a fair, transparent, and objective manner.
- Directly address challenging situations faced by employees with wisdom and consultation with human resources, while respecting the individual.
- Create a work environment that encourages creativity, allowing innovators to achieve professional goals through their roles.
- Evaluate the development and training programs received by subordinate employees to provide necessary training opportunities for professional growth, in collaboration with the human resources sector.
- Review reports submitted by employees to recommend changes or approvals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.- Preferably holding a master's degree in a related field.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in leadership positions.
- Experience in strategic planning, quality enhancement, and performance monitoring techniques.
- Familiarity and knowledge of mission integration, organizational development, cost activation, operations, and other related fields.
- Preferably holding a professional certification in the relevant field.
- Knowledge of the principles and concepts related to the field of expertise.
- Knowledge of the systems and regulations applicable in Saudi Arabia.
- Ability to prepare studies and research and provide opinions in the area of specialization.
- Ability to coordinate, communicate, prepare reports, and provide recommendations.
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English, spoken and written.
- Mastery of computer skills and experience in using Microsoft programs or related software.
