JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
As Commercial Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial operations of this exciting new project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Playing a vital role in driving revenue, building partnerships, and ensuring the overall success of commercial activities, your primary focus will be on maximizing profitability, identifying new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, understanding their needs, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project financials, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue generation. Implement strategies to maximize profitability and manage project risks effectively.
• Negotiate and finalize project contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the consultancy while meeting client requirements.
• Provide strategic guidance and leadership to the project management team, ensuring effective project delivery, resource allocation, and performance management.
• Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to identify potential opportunities and develop effective marketing and business strategies.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including project teams, subcontractors, and vendors, to ensure smooth project execution and achieve desired outcomes.
• Prepare regular reports on project performance, financials, and key metrics. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and make informed business decisions.
• Implement and maintain quality standards and processes to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality project management services.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and company policies throughout project execution.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering. An MBA or equivalent qualification is a plus.
• MRICS, MCIOB or MCIPS qualified
• 20+ years proven experience in a senior commercial leadership role
• Large project experience
• Strong business acumen with a track record of driving commercial success
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate
• Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities, both written and verbal.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make strategic decisions.
• Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish and maintain key client partnerships.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
