JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Linum Consult’s client is currently seeking a hands-on Contracts Manager from a main contractor background to be involved in a major infrastructure construction project in Saudi Arabia.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Managing the administration of Contracts, Subcontracts and other agreements to ensure compliance with liable terms and conditions (FIDIC)
• Identifying events that may lead to Extension of Time (EOT) entitlements
• Drafting interim particulars, as required by the contract and correspondences in a professional/ contractual manner
• Preparing, analysing and resolving EOT claims
• Collecting data and coordinating with other Project’s Departments
• Handling contractual, legal, and commercial issues related to subcontracts and with lower tier subcontractors
• Ensuring that contractual and commercial matters are handled efficiently by minimizing claims from the subcontractors
REQUIREMENTS
• 15 years’ experience of contracts administration for major infrastructure construction projects
• At least a Bachelor’s degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a similar discipline, with MRICS or MCIArb chartership
• Background of working on-site for large rail/metro construction projects
• Strong technical knowledge of claims, EOT claims, and delay claims
• A history of working for main contractors
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience of working in the Middle East
• Excellent communication and management skills
• Tenacious personality with the ability to drive teams to completion
