Job Purpose:

Negotiate, conclude and administer contracts for purchase or sale of equipment, materials, products or services, check estimates of material, equipment and production costs, performance requirements and delivery schedules for accuracy. Prepare requests for bids, process specification and other exhibits that may be required in procurement process. Review bids for conformity to contract requirements and determine acceptable bids, negotiate contracts with suppliers or customers, monitor and control contract time, cost and performance, request or approve amendments to or extensions of contracts.

Key Result Areas:
• Formulates and/or reviews all contracts and tender documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Manage contracts and negotiate terms and condition with existing approved contracts and for the Field Service
• Monitors all tendering process for compliance with ‘Advanced’ contracts policies and procedures.
• Participates in bid evaluation and prepares bid evaluation reports and award recommendation.
• Provide recommendations and guidance on the correct implementation of the Contract Administration model
• Maintains communications on contract matters with all the concerned departments.
• Participates in negotiations as appropriate for contracts in the assigned areas of responsibilities.
• Liaises on contract matters with Projects and other departments.
• Participates and assists in preparing project budget.
• Performs contract close-out activities
• Plan and manage all contractual and procurement aspects of a procurement project; establish and maintain work program and schedules for on-going contracts and newly planned ones.
• Undertake market research to keep abreast of significant market developments, research and analyses statistical information and market reports on the commodity situation, production patters and availability of the goods and services to be contracted, identify new technologies, products or services as well as new potential supply sources, identify, evaluate and recommend potential suppliers and manufacturers.
• Analyze and evaluate vendors’ proposals considering various factors affecting cost, technical specifications, implementation schedules, and management and maintenance of goods or equipment, including training of users and maintenance staff and other contractual arrangements.
• Maintain effective relations with vendors, suppliers, representatives and officials of trade associations and industrial firms and participate in development of new contacts.
