Cost Control Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Control Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, construction, and oil and gas industries with a proven track record in cost control and project management. The Cost Control Engineer will be responsible for monitoring project budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Monitor project expenses and track commitments against budget
- Analyze project cost data to identify trends and potential cost-saving opportunities
- Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for project stakeholders
- Work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure cost control measures are implemented
- Participate in project risk assessment and provide recommendations for mitigating cost overruns
- Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments
- Conduct regular audits of project costs and expenditures to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related field
- Proven experience as a Cost Control Engineer in the FEED, Engineering, Oil and Gas industries
- In-depth knowledge of project management principles and practices
- Proficiency in cost control software and tools, such as SAP, Oracle Primavera, or similar
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Certification in cost control or project management is a plus
