JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Our client is looking for Data Strategy and Analytics Specialist candidate which is responsible for supporting the development and execution of data strategies and capabilities, overseeing analytics projects, and collaborating with various teams to develop and maintain analytical models and dashboards. This role involves working with large data sets, conducting in-depth analysis, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain analytical models and dashboards to provide in-depth insights and support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development and execution of data strategies and capabilities.
• Oversee analytics projects, including data manipulation, data analytics, and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of large data sets to develop insights and surface implications for the business.
• Support the establishment of reporting and decision-making standards across the organization.
• Foster innovation through ongoing education and creative application of data and reporting tools.
• Utilize governance processes to ensure the accuracy and validity of data warehouse and supply chain reports.
• Lead and support the timely delivery of new capabilities, improvements, and enhanced data systems.
• Benchmark department capabilities within the organization and with outside companies.
• Establish and maintain detailed documentation for all reporting, dashboards, and technical solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, economics, statistics, business administration, or a related field is required.
• Certifications in data analytics, business intelligence tools (such as Power BI, Tableau), or database management (like SQL) are beneficial.
• Certifications in project management methodologies (such as PMP or Agile) can be an asset.
• A master's degree in a related field or relevant certifications such as Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP) or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) would be preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of data management, warehousing, and governance principles.
• Proficient in data analytics, business intelligence tools (like Power BI, Tableau), and data visualization techniques.
• Solid understanding of database management systems and SQL.
• Familiarity with data privacy laws and compliance regulations.
• Awareness of emerging trends and technologies in data analytics and big data
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data.
• Proficient in statistical analysis and predictive modeling
• Hands-on experience with data integration and ETL processes
• Skilled in project management, capable of leading data-related projects from conception to implementation
• Experience with several years of hands-on projects in a data analytics or data management role. Proven track record of successfully executing data projects, with tangible improvements in business processes or decision-making.
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams and managing projects across multiple departments.
• Prior exposure to and successful handling of large datasets in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
