JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Experienced designer capable of producing road designs (horizontal alignment, vertical alignment and cross sections) for trunk roads through to neighborhood distribution roads including junction design and swept path analysis.
They should be familiar with industry standard software and competent in providing conceptual advice to planning teams, specifying Traffic Impact Surveys and utilizing the results as well as completing grading (cut and fill) exercises.
It is an advantage if the candidate is capable of designing road drainage systems and It is preferred that the candidate has experience of working in KSA and utilizing the various Coordinate systems and benchmark data.
They should be proficient in report writing and presenting to authorities and others and explaining/ justifying designs.
Able to manage other Engineers and mentor their professional development.
They should be fully experienced in attending to contractors queries, reviewing shop drawings and submissions and attending to site issues in an expedient manner.
REQUIREMENTS
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
4-year degree in Engineering (or related field) with minimum 10 years of related work experience. Professional Engineer registration may be required.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.
