JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
The prime objectives and functions of the role holder will include the following:
• Responsibility for the collection and maintenance of all levels of configuration control for the SANG Network, including site visits where appropriate to verify the integrity of data received.
• Ensure that the processes relating to Configuration Management (CM) are adhered to and initiate changes if necessary to ensure that SANG network configuration control is constantly improved.
• The key principles of CM are:
- Configuration Management and Planning
- Configuration Identification
- Configuration Change Management
- Configuration Status Accounting
- Configuration Audits
• Liaise with other relevant stakeholders to ensure that any changes, upgrades or new installations to the SANG Network are correctly and accurately recorded to ensure that Configuration Management database is updated correctly.
• Work closely with Project Delivery Configuration Control Team to ensure seamless transition of SANG operational network state via the Network Control Board (NCB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB) processes.
REQUIREMENTS
• A minimum of 10 years general experience in a telecommunications environment.
• A minimum of 5 years active experience in the Telecommunications industry, specifically with regards to record keeping activities associated with TDM, IP and structured cabling for communications systems.
• Demonstrable experience in the structure of both TDM and IP based communication services
• Excellent data organizational skills.
• Willingness to conduct and perform physical site inspections to verify integrity of data.
• Must have a demonstrable ability of being conversant with Microsoft Office applications, specifically MS Excel and MS Access.
• Must possess good English verbal and writing skills.
• Must possess a valid driving license from the country of origin.
• Must be physically fit to work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• ITIL V3 foundation or Intermediate certified Experience
