Overview

We are seeking specialized candidate in Electrical Engineering for Shaybah Producing Department (SyPD).

The organization produces Arab Extra light Crude Oil (AXL) to be shipped to Abqaiq Plants, separate Gas from Oil and transfer it to SNGL and inject the rest, produces its own water and generates its own power. Shaybah Producing Engineering Division (SyPED) is one of the four divisions in SyPD. This division is responsible for providing engineering services of all Shaybah Plants and facilities.

The electrical engineer candidate is expected to lead the efforts in troubleshooting and determining the root causes of failures for several types of motors, breakers, incomers, overhead lines, turbines switchgears, transformers etc.

In addition, the candidate is expected to monitor electrical performance indexes, Power management systems performance, and energy intensity of electrical machines.

Key Responsibilities

Expected to be able to perform the following:

Provide day-to-day technical support to operations and maintenance to troubleshoot electrical equipment related issues

Develop, evaluate and review electrical equipment engineering design for reliability enhancements and required modifications/upgrades

Lead electrical equipment failures and trips investigation and produce the associated reports

Develop and maintain the reliability reports for electrical equipment

Review the equipment historical data and conducting reliability studies

Develop and review electrical equipment design packages

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Requirements

Hold a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering

Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry operating facilities

Ability to develop design packages and conduct studies related to rotating equipment

Ability to propose and deploy reliability improvement technologies/solutions and innovative ideas

Must have Fundamental Engineering (FE) and recommended to have a Professional Engineer (P.E.) or equivalent

Knowledge of international standards and best practices such as IEEE

Preferred to have membership with internationally recognized technical societies

Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in electrical equipment design, assessments, studies, investigations, analysis, and optimization, troubleshooting, producing detailed reports and developing sound technical evaluations

Knowledge in electrical equipment shop and field repairs/maintenance
