Job purpose

Assisting in the preparation, review, and submission of technical proposals for tenders, ensuring design and technical aspects align with the client's requirements and specifications. Collaborating with design engineers, project managers, and procurement teams to help develop accurate, competitive, and high-quality bids for projects.

Key accountability areas

Tender preparation and proposal development:

• Assist in reviewing tender documentation (including client specifications, drawings, and requirements) to support the preparation of detailed technical proposals.
• Contribute to the development of technical designs, calculations, drawings, and content for tender submissions.
• Work with design engineers and technical teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and meet project requirements.
• Help ensure the submission of complete and compliant technical proposals that align with client expectations and company capabilities.

Collaboration and coordination:

• Support project managers, procurement, and cost engineers in incorporating cost estimates and delivery schedules into the tender proposal.
• Assist in liaising with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary technical data and pricing for the tender response.
• Work with the commercial team to ensure the technical proposal aligns with pricing, scope of work, and contractual terms.

Technical analysis and risk management:

• Assist in evaluating the technical aspects of the project scope to identify potential risks, challenges, and opportunities for optimization.
• Support the identification of alternative design solutions to enhance project feasibility, cost-efficiency, and client requirements.
• Assist in identifying and mitigating technical risks in tender proposals.

Document management and reporting:

• Ensure all technical documentation and design files are compiled, formatted, and stored according to company standards.
• Maintain clear and organized records of all tender-related communications, meetings, and revisions.
• Prepare technical content for client meetings and internal reviews, providing detailed explanations of design solutions.

Academic qualification

Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
