JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Role Summary:
The electrical fitter needs to be able to perform all the required activities related to electrical conduit/cable way preparation, cutting, installation, wiring and cabling, and to support the packaging operations for centrifugal compressor and gas turbine products
Essential Responsibilities:
- Read and understand electrical drawings and specifications, including cableway and conduit layout, wiring hook up, one-line diagrams
- Identify all tools required for tasks and identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate the risks
- Layout, measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit and cable ways
- Install junction boxes and electrical sub-assemblies
- Connect wiring
- Use of basic hand tools (i.e. drill, screwdriver) as well as power tools (i.e. pipe threader, conduit bender, grinders and drill motors) to perform activities
- Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental directives and regulation
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Experience with hand tools and equipment: saws, pipe cutting machine, pipe threading machine, pipe bending tools and pipe bending machine
- Read and understand electrical drawings and specifications, including wiring hook up, one-line diagrams, cable and conduit layout
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawing, specifications, electrical diagram
- Previous working experience as electrical fitter for at least 5 years
- Availability to work on 3 shifts
- Ability to work within a team
