Engineer, Project Control

DAR Engineering, a leading design and engineering consulting organization in Saudi Arabia engaged in power generation, electrical transmission and distribution, health care and high-rise buildings.

Job Purpose:

We are currently looking for project controls engineers to be part of our project management office (PMO) team, based on a large healthcare program in Riyadh. The key objective of the program is to provide consulting services to operate the project management office for the delivery of healthcare infrastructure programs and the deployment of the processes and procedures where applicable to existing and new projects.

Key Responsibilities / Deliverables:

• Responsible for establishing, implementing, and performing project controls functions.
• Support and participate in preparing the projects control plans and updating them annually, submitting them to the client for approval from the Ministry of Finance.
• Establish an understanding and implementation of the existing EXPRO standards and processes and recommended tools for development and use on the healthcare infrastructure program.
• Prepare and distribute progress report dashboards and master schedule updates.
• Review, validate, and consolidate project monthly dashboards and reports, and raise any issues and concerns.
• Manage the set-up of Primavera Project Management System P6.
• Create and implement measurement systems for established processes, analyze performance metric results, and identify improvements.
• Support the development of project controls standards and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Thirteen (13) plus years of experience in PMO, large capital projects and/or large programs or similar complex projects.
• University degree in engineering, construction management, quantity surveying, or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of cost control systems and procedures to monitor the project budgets, financial commitments, expenditures, and cost projections of portfolio, program, or projects.
• Excellent ability to understand and develop the scope of the project in different environments of construction and engineering projects.
• Extensive experience in managing the planning and scheduling operations in large capital projects and/or large programs or similar complex projects, particularly in leadership roles.
• Good communication skills, both in presentation and documentation, with a good command of English.
• Experience with Primavera P6 and Power BI.
• Attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
