WSP Middle East are currently looking for an Engineering Manager - Wet Services to join a major project in NEOM, Saudi Arabia

Your new role, what's involved?
* Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers specializing in all aspects of water engineering including gravity and pressure systems.
* Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
* Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting professional growth and development opportunities for team members.
* Coordinate workload distribution, resource allocation, and project assignments within the team.
* Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of water systems.
* Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with project goals and client requirements.
* Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
* Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve issues, and make data-driven decisions to optimize project outcomes.
* Gravity and pressure System Design and Engineering:
* Provide technical expertise in the design, analysis, and optimization of water systems.
* Review and approve design plans, specifications, and calculations to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
* Conduct hydrological and hydraulic assessments to determine drainage requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, civil engineers, and contractors, to integrate water systems effectively into overall project designs.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and regulatory bodies, to understand requirements, address concerns, and ensure successful project outcomes.
* Communicate project progress, technical issues, and recommendations effectively to stakeholders at various levels.
* Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulations.
* Establish and enforce quality control processes and standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality and reliable drainage systems.
* Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and standards governing drainage engineering.
* Conduct periodic inspections and testing to verify compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Continuous Improvement:
* Identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness in drainage engineering.
* Promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team and across the organization.
* Initiate and lead initiatives to implement best practices, leverage new technologies, and optimize engineering processes.

REQUIREMENTS

We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or related fields.
* 20+ years of post-qualification experience
* Extensive experience in gravity and pressure system engineering, including the design, implementation, and maintenance.
* Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams, including project management responsibilities.
* In-depth knowledge of drainage system design principles, hydraulic calculations, and industry best practices.
* Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and standards governing drainage engineering.
* Proficiency in engineering software and tools for analysis and design.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
