Overview

We are seeking an Engineering Specialist to join our Unconventional Resources Engineering and Project Management Department (UREPMD). UREPMD are responsible for building facilities in different asset areas throughout Saudi Arabia. They also provide guidance, advice, monitoring, and assistance to the organization with compliance to corporate safety, health and environmental requirements. Your primary role will be to develop methods for guidance, control and corrective action to ensure a safe operable and economic design within the framework of the project's budget, material requirements, specifications and schedule. You should be an expert in one or more disciplines that directly affect project performance, including but not limited to planning and scheduling, project execution, estimation, cost engineering, geomatics, value engineering, and other value improvement practices.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
• Provides expert advice and assistance to Company organizations, outside vendors, manufacturers, and design firms on matters relating to his/her area of expertise.
• Originates and carries out engineering studies to determine potential problems and remedies to existing problems, resolve complex technical problems, increase revenue, optimize processes, protect the environment, or improve safety.
• Develops and maintains Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards and Design Best Practices,
• Design Manuals or other documentation to enhance company profitability, safety and productivity.
• Evaluates and introduces new technologies to help the Company achieve Best in Class positions in the company business.
• Reviews and evaluates the capabilities of vendors and contractors to determine their acceptability to perform major services to Saudi Aramco. Acts as Aramco#s representative in dealings with vendors and manufacturers pertaining to his/her field of experience.
• Works on or with Task Forces assigned to investigate incidents or solve specific problems.
• Undertakes special assignments requiring extensive technical experience and discretion when dealing with outside organizations.
• Promotes a learning environment and continuous development to improve expert status within his/her specialty. Acts as a mentor to junior engineers. Conducts seminars, presents case studies, and writes papers for peer-reviewed journals on engineering studies and projects he/she has overseen.
• Participates in local and international technical societies to serve the company interest.
