FOUNDING PROVOST,
A NEW UNIVERSITY, RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA
Exceptional leader required for brand new world-class university.
A brand new institute of higher learning for the creative and technology sectors is to be established in Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The purpose is to seed, incubate, and accelerate local talent in a conducive ecosystem to develop global, future leaders, by focusing on practical-applied learning, skill building diplomas, and post-graduate degrees initially in emerging technologies.
The Board of Trustees at The Mohammed bin Salman Foundation, "Misk" is seeking an outstanding and visionary person to be the Founding Provost to work with the President on the set-up and launch, with specific focus on the design of the academic mission and the direction of strategic partnerships in their development of the academic offering.
The Founding Provost will develop and deliver a best in class academic experience, employing innovative teaching and learning tools and principles for entrepreneurship-oriented, employment-ready graduates.

REQUIREMENTS
• PhD or terminal degree in relevant field from a reputable institution preferred
• A strong record of scholarly research and publications
• Supervisory/administrative/management experience, such as serving as a department chair, dean, or other senior-level
academic administrator and teaching experience at the university level
• A record of improving student academic outcomes and eliminating disparities in achievement, opportunities, and services.
• Knowledge of academic accommodation, governance, and assessment and expertise in global best educational practices in teaching and learning
• Understanding of higher education policies and regulations (Saudi Arabia market experience is a plus)
• A deep understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of the campus
• Experience working in the Middle East region is preferred
• English language fluency with Arabic language understanding preferred
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
