JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking an experienced General Manager Projects (PMO Head) to oversee the construction of industrial plants in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate is Saudi national who will have a proven track record in project management within the industrial construction sector, demonstrating strong leadership skills and a commitment to quality. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive projects to completion on time and within budget while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop comprehensive project plans that align with company objectives and client expectations.
- Coordinate and oversee the work of project managers and site teams, providing guidance and support as necessary.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth operations and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards throughout all project phases.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve project goals.
- Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting risks, progress, and issues.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability.
- Recruit, train, and mentor project staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.- Minimum 10 years of experience in project management within the industrial construction sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, technologies, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage diverse teams.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of project management software and tools, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
