Data Privacy Programme includes policies, procedures, and tools to ensure compliance with data privacy laws, with plans to evolve towards a decentralised model. This transition involves sector-specific strategies, expert support, reporting mechanisms, and risk analysis to adapt to changing privacy requirements and accommodate the company's global expansion.

Description

* Develop and maintain Data Privacy Policy, procedures, and guidance for implementing data privacy practices, including templates and tooling support.
* Continuously review and update the Data Privacy Programme in response to changes in data privacy laws and shifts in operational model.
* Plan and execute the transition of Data Privacy Strategy from a centralised to a decentralised model over a 5-year period.
* Create customised data privacy strategies for specific target sectors to facilitate the transition to a decentralised privacy framework.
* Provide expertise and support to the Privacy Data Protection Officer (PDPO) and functional entities within the organisation to ensure compliance with data privacy obligations.
* Develop, implement, and operate procedures for reporting key information to the Board of Directors and relevant data privacy regulatory authorities.
* Respond to information requests and inquiries from stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
* Conduct risk assessments, identifying potential threats and opportunities, and formulate risk mitigation measures, with a focus on compliance with global privacy laws due to the expanding international presence.
* Play a crucial role in devolving operational responsibility for data privacy from the Data Privacy Office as per the evolving operational model.

Requirements:
* A successful candidate for this role should have over a decade of data privacy, data protection, or compliance experience, along with in-depth knowledge of data privacy laws across various regimes.
* They should possess leadership experience as a Data Protection/Privacy Officer, proficiency in designing Data Privacy Frameworks, and a track record of interacting with regulatory authorities. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate a strong understanding of effective Data Privacy Program requirements, the ability to assess regulatory risks and align them with business needs, offer strategic guidance, adapt to diverse industries, communicate effectively with C-Suite stakeholders, and possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report writing skills.
* Fluency in written and verbal English is essential.
