JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Responsibilities:
HSE Management System
• Implement and adhere to internal HSE management system requirements and procedures for the site team.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and communicate these to the team.
Monitoring and Compliance
• Monitor WSA staff compliance with safety standards and company procedures, escalating safety violations to the Project Manager.
• Assess and report on Contractor and Subcontractor HSE compliance with project requirements, legislation, and best practices.
• Address critical and outstanding safety issues promptly with the Project Manager.
Training and Coordination
• Conduct and coordinate regular safety training for WSA staff.
• Lead daily site HSE tours with Contractor HSE staff, highlighting findings.
• Issue and follow up on Safety Enforcement Notices (SENs), ensuring closure with adequate evidence of compliance.
Documentation and Reporting
• Develop and maintain HSE documentation, including the HSE Plan, risk assessments, and safety files.
• Review and comment on Contractors' HSE Plans, risk assessments, and work method statements.
• Investigate accidents and incidents involving staff, compile reports, and maintain incident statistics.
• Prepare and maintain HSE registers (e.g., training, inductions, inspections).
• Submit weekly, monthly, and other required safety reports to the Employer and Project Manager.
Stakeholder and Interface Management
• Communicate with Contractors, Employer, and Site Supervision Team regarding safety concerns and resolutions.
• Liaise with Contractors' managers to enhance safety measures.
• Coordinate safety activities for teams and provide mentorship.
Project-Specific Responsibilities
• Monitor contractor compliance with UAE HSE legislation and project-specific HSE plans.
• Address site-specific safety concerns with the PM/RE and Contractor.
• Participate in internal and external audits, resolving non-conformance issues.
• Provide HSE-related inputs for weekly progress and monthly reports.
Client and Contractor Engagement
• Deliver necessary HSE reports and recommendations to the Client.
• Attend Client meetings as required.
• Conduct daily site inspections with the HSE team to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Design Office and Site Operations Interface
• Identify and address adverse HSE issues arising from design-related risks.
• Collaborate with the SHOA for site-related issues and administrative needs.
• Functional and Line Management Duties
• Assume responsibility for project-specific HSE performance.
• Identify site safety concerns and notify relevant parties.
• Maintain and update HSE project documents.
• Assist during internal and external site audits.
Requirements:
• Mandatory: NEBOSH Diploma/IGC.• Preferred: Lead Auditor certification (ISO 45001 and ISO 14001).
• Membership in professional organizations such as IIRSM/IOSH is an advantage.

SAR
15160
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
