JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Understand the general corrosion processes in assigned units.
- Serve as the primary contact for Operations and Maintenance for inspection issues and provide timely communication.
- Represent AIMD in OME meetings and present metrics in overview meetings.
- Develop temporary repair mitigation plans for on-stream leak events in conjunction with the Asset Integrity Engineer.
- Apply appropriate NDE methods to obtain inspection information.
- Investigate failures of pressure equipment items.
- Provide face-to-face communications with Operations supervision on important AIMD related concerns.
- Perform periodic audits related to pressure equipment technical assurance.
- Maintain thorough and accurate records on the inspection and maintenance of pressure equipment and piping in assigned process units, using IDMS narratives as the primary tool.
- Maintain IDMS records such that inspections can be scheduled and completed by the next inspection date.
- Review the records of new equipment and piping entered into IDMS.
- Interpret information collected during an inspection and make detailed and timely recommendations for repairs, modifications, or replacement of equipment as necessary.
- Work with representatives of Operations and Maintenance to determine the most practical and cost effective way to perform equipment/piping repairs.
- Initiate inspection worksheets repair or replacement of pressure equipment.
- Involve the Asset Integrity Engineer in all repairs to pressure equipment.
- Monitor the progress of recommended maintenance (IWS's) and document acceptance of the work

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

Qualification & Experience:

- Saudi National with technical diploma in the field of Mechanical/Chemical/Metallurgical or high school with 5 years of work experience in an operating refinery or petrochemical plant in the field of pressure equipment integrity.
- Must possess at least one API certification preferably 510, 570 or NDT Level II certifications (VT, PT, UT, MT).
- Competence and experience in materials selection, degradation and corrosion control system design and management, asset integrity management and repair assessments, NDT methods, field inspection, and effective use of applicable codes & standards.
- Working knowledge in ASME BPVC and API standards
- Familiar with inspection database management systems (IDMS); experience with Meridium APM Mechanical Integrity is preferred
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, organize and prioritize daily work schedules.
- Must be fluent in the English language (Oral & Written Skills)
