As an IT Support Administrator, you will work closely with all employees to ensure that they can work flawlessly without having to worry about IT issues. Reporting to the IT manager, you will work closely with other members of the team to make sure support requests are resolved within defined SLA providing level 2 support to the users.
In this role, you will
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
- Provide desktop support (Windows/Mac/Linux) and monitor and maintain systems and networks
- Respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests through the helpdesk ticket system
- Provide technical support across the company (this may be in person or over Zoom/Google Meet)
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Bayut and Dubizzle employees
- Set up and configure new laptops and desktops
- Ensure security patches and upgrades are applied to desktops and laptops
- Install antivirus on all desktops and laptops
- Report faults and maintain logs on servers, desktops, and laptops
- Maintain print server and support internal printer-related issues
- Build and maintain an inventory log of all IT assets
- Create purchase requisitions for IT hardware/software
- Ensure licensing for all software purchased is recorded and maintained
- Perform basic administrative support duties, as required, to meet specific operational objectives
Requirements
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a relevant field
- Certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, RHCE, or CCNA
- 3+ years experience in IT support
- Experience in active directory user provisioning and migrations
- Experience providing support for Apple products including Mac, iPhone, and iPad
- Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems (e.g. ZenDesk, Solarwinds, Kayako)
- Experience in ManageEngine products such as Desktop Central, Service Desk, etc.
- Experience deploying enterprise antivirus solutions such as Sophos or SentinelOne
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts and advanced knowledge of desktop and server operating systems
- Basic understanding of Linux
- Troubleshooting skills in Windows/Mac/Linux (Ubuntu)
- Demonstrated skills in configuring/managing any enterprise-level routers/firewall like Cisco, Fortinet
- PBX/VOIP configuration and troubleshooting skills
- Cisco Meraki administration skills
- Office 365 provisioning and administration skills
- Administer and maintain wireless access points, VPN, and company-issued mobile devices
- Friendly attitude, with the ability to interact with several different personalities and levels of management
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
