Overview / Responsibilities <br> Wood is currently looking for a Lead Insreumentation Engineer to work on the engineering and project management services in Al - Khobar office, Saudi Arabia <br><br>Responsibilities: <br> - Discipline technical leadership in terms of best practice, unconventional yet safe, proper and fit for purpose engineering and thinking outside the conventional box to achieve cost effective approaches <br> - Achievement of targets and initiatives assigned to the Instrumentation function <br> - Contribute to all safety design processes including HAZAN, HAZOP, SIL Classification, Safety Lifecycle <br> - Organise, monitor, report on assigned work scope <br> - Participate in the technical assessment and ratification of bids from prospective contractors and vendors <br> - Inter - action with client, contractor and company management and other disciplines to develop the control, safety and monitoring systems and instrumentation philosophies per the above criteria <br> - Develop FEED packages suitable for client review, Contractor bidding and selection <br> - Review all relevant other discipline documentation and participate in the development of the P&IDs <br> - Issue / review material requisitions for the Procurement Department for enquiry, order placement and for any subsequent revisions <br> - Prepare the Master Requisition Index and update and issue it on a regular basis <br> - Review Vendors' quotations, prepare technical quotation evaluation and recommend the final technically acceptable Vendor, in conjunction with Materials Management Department commercial quotation evaluation <br> - Technically approve Order Variation Summaries <br> - Review the project execution developed by the Cost and Planning Department <br> - Hold co - ordination meetings and engineering review meetings with Vendors of major equipment as required carry out technical investigations, produce technical reports, engineering standards and procedures <br> - Assist in the development and training of Client's personnel when requested <br><br>Skills / Qualifications <br> - Degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering or a related discipline <br> - Minimum of 15 years instrumentation experience <br> - Minimum of 5 years at a senior level <br> - Minimum of 10 years gas processing or gas plant experience <br> - Previous EPC / PMC experience is essential <br> - Knowledge in Smart Plant Instrumentation and or MS Access is an advantage <br> - Must have prior experience in developing FEED's and Engineering Flow Diagrams (P&IDs) <br> - Extensive high pressure gas and condensate processing experience <br> - Good knowledge of upstream, preferably with an appreciation of the development of unconventional gas <br> - Knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards is an advantage though not mandatory <br> - Self - motivated working, driven with foresight and own experience, within client Project Management Teams <br><br>Company Overview <br> Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
