Job Purpose

Aramco is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join Drilling & Workover Svcs Dept/Water Well Maintenance Division. Incumbents of this position are fully experienced qualified professionals working independently in handling maintenance engineering tasks in Water Well Maintenance Division. The occupant of this position will support the planning, designing, and implementing of the water supply system to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of water to drilling rigs, communities, plants and other users. The successful candidate will provide technical support for installing, maintaining and inspecting downhole pumping and surface equipment as well as applying performance standards for maintenance work and evaluate actual performance against standards

Responsibilities
- Develops maintenance programs and strategies to ensure proper functioning and longevity of water supply equipment and materials
- Ensures that periodic maintenance is performed in accordance with vendor recommendations and Aramco procedures and that maintenance logs and records are maintained
- Develops technical evaluations and maintenance schedules in detail; verifies initial estimate for labor, material, tools, equipment and shop work; reviews adequacy of estimated project cost prior to and during work progress
- Develops scope of work, provides support in the procurement process for contracts and ensures that contractual requirements are followed, technical specifications are met and that the project is delivered safely and within budget
- Catalogs equipment/materials in the system and provide technical support to link the correct spare parts with sufficient BOM
- Consults with and advises operational units to determine vertical turbine pump selections, maintenance requirements and establish priorities for maintenance work. Analyzes requests for maintenance work and recommends work which can be economically assigned to contractor organizations
- Maintains job logs and initiates necessary documentation on contractor performance, material damage or loss claims, accident reports, job completion reports and contract payments.
- Maintains current maintenance documentation, insures hardware modifications are current with vendor recommendations and adequate stocks of spare parts are available for equipment of the water supply system.
- Prepares Engineering Reports on maintenance activities/methods and means for their improvement. Occasionally acts as Relief for Craft Foreman
- Review the Maintenance Intelligence Report (MIR) and investigate to determine causes for variation between Target and Actual and makes recommendations leading to improvement the Performance

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Maintenance Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Ability to speak and write reports or articles in English using both scientifically correct terminology and terms understandable to any level of listener or reader.
- Good technical writing skills including instruction manuals, proposals, reports and visual communication.
- Adequate knowledge and experience in the oil and gas industry.
- A minimum of (15) years' experience in practical knowledge and experience in maintenance methods and practices within the Oil and Energy industry .
- Maintenance Certification such as CMRP, Quality Management Certificate, Auditing Qualifications are desirable but not mandatory
