Risk Advisory | Accounting & Internal Controls | GRC - Manager/Senior Manager - (Risk Focused) (Six Months Contract)

- Develop and implement strategic risk management plans for construction projects, aligning with the organization's overall risk tolerance and business objectives.
- Provide recommendations to senior management regarding risk mitigation strategies and insurance coverage enhancements.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for construction projects, considering various factors such as project scope, location, regulatory requirements, and environmental considerations.
- Establish, review and update Risk Management Plan according to the best international standards (ISO, PMI).
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including project managers, safety teams, finance teams, legal teams, and executives, to ensure a cohesive risk management approach.
- Monitor projects and ensure that an adequate and robust Risk Management process is under active management.
- Implement an internal PMO Risk Management Plan, Risk register and associated governance processes.
- Engage with various downstream entities as required - PMO, PMC, LDC, Contractors etc.
- Conduct risk meetings and workshops with the project team and stakeholders to identify new risks, update the consequences, risk action plan along with risk owner.
- Assist, review and advise on Stakeholder Management Plan including identification of stakeholders, communication assessment and aligning communication plan in line with master programme.
- Manage PMO/ PgMC/ PMC in preparation of Program Management Plan (PMP) in consultation with client, as a guide to the project teams in performance of their duties; to identify responsibilities and coordinate various actions and procedures into one comprehensive document.
- Expert use of Primavera Project Management System P6 (latest version) for program management across the planning team with all stakeholders.
- Review and analyse data/schedule received from the other organisations (Designers, PMCs, and Contractors).
- Conduct benchmarking data collection analysis for similar projects (buildings and infrastructure).
- Monitoring design, procurement, and construction progress for compliance with contract requirements.
- Assist in preparing the master programme for the projects. Incorporate / Integrate the Contractors program of works into the Master Schedule of works.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

- An undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- 8+ years professional experience in project controls with emphasis on risk management.
- Knowledge of International Risk Standards e.g. ISO31000, PMBok, COSO, etc. and associated standards e.g. ISO 9001, ISO45001, ISO14000, etc.
- Project Management and Risk Management certifications from recognized international institutions.
- Client-side experience managing PMCs and other stakeholders.
- Strong experience in PCM of major capital projects.
- PMP or other professional certifications.
- Experience in using Primavera P6, ACONEX & Oracle suite.
- Sound knowledge of project controls practices, broad knowledge of cost, risk, change and specific knowledge in earned value management.
- Experience in the big four, auditing companies is a plus.
- Very Good command of written and spoken English, Arabic.
- Excellent communication and people skills, with a strong emphasis on teamwork.
- Ability to work within a team to deliver large engagements for clients.
- Experience in planning and managing timelines across projects.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities in a deadline-oriented environment and flexible work hours.
