JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Company:
Our client is a multinational Project Management and Engineering firm which operates in the railway sector. They are currently involved with the management of the Design of a new metro project in Saudi Arabia.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ideally a QS related degree and be MRICS accredited however this is not a pre-requisite
Strong communication skills are essential as you will be dealing directly with the Client, Engineers and Sub-contractors alike.
Strong cost planning skills and the ability to prepare detailed estimates based on developed documentation is highly preferred
Familiarity with PRESTO measurement and estimating software is preferred.
Good knowledge on understanding of Drawings, Quantity take off, BOQ preparation, Rate analysis,
Strong commercial sense, Market Survey / Testing, Tender document preparation, Pre-Tender Estimate and hands on experience on negotiation.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications & Experience
At least 7 years post graduate experience in MEP working for PQS / QS Consultants and ideally some time working for a Contractor on MEP works
Experience on New Build, Refurbishment and Fit-out projects in MEP is highly preferred
Should have been in the MEP industry for at least 7 years
Should have commercial / QS experience in the GCC.
Keen experience in relevant field, RICS & MRICS would be an added advantage.
Strong written and communication skills
MS Office, SAP
