Participate in engineering assignments under close supervision. Assignments may involve research design, installation, commissioning of equipment, maintenance or construction.

Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with applicable Codes and Standards.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Responsible for overall technical management / co-ordination on orders for rotating equipment, Piping units including technical management / co-ordination with other engineering disciplines
• Complete responsibility for Static Equipment issues and deliverables on projects at all stages of the design process. While the primary focus will be on Static equipment, the successful candidate will be a well-rounded Mechanical Engineer with an ability to adapt and handle various mechanical equipment types, such as rotating / package equipment, as workload dictates
• Prepare design calculations for new pressure vessels and heat exchangers using Compress
• Re-rate reports and calculations for existing vessels and exchangers
• Prepare Equipment Technical Specifications / Material Requisitions, such as Mechanical Specification and Mechanical Data Sheet
• Conduct technical evaluation / clarification of pressure vessel and heat exchanger vendor bids, plus the technical bid evaluation reports to support order placement
• Provide project technical support and be familiar with risk assessments, design reviews, constructability and HAZOPs
• Review / comment of vendor documentation
• Manage vendors in conjunction with procurement engineer
• Liaise with multi-discipline project team, client, PMC and vendors.
• Mentor young engineers

Skills/Qualifications:

• Detailed knowledge and proven application in all aspects of Mechanical and Piping
• Interface with other Engineering disciplines in the development of Static Equipment and piping systems.
• Keep abreast of latest technology for Mechanical / Static Equipment / Piping.
• Have an awareness of HS&E in design within assigned project.
• Quality Assurance - Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the BU, etc
• Safety - Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the BU, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.

• Previous Experience with Aramco Projects.
• Good knowledge and experience with Saudi Aramco Codes and specifications, the international codes and standards.

Requirements:
Qualifications
• BS or MS in mechanical engineering discipline is required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Applications is required
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks as scheduled is required
• Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment is required
