JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Our client is a large insurance company based in Saudi Arabia with a lean investment management team. The Risk Management Officer will be embedded within this team in Riyadh to assist them to manage their investment portfolio reporting requirements to internal stakeholders such as Group Risk, Group Internal Audit, Group Compliance, Investment Committee and management. In addition, the role will liaise with external auditors, external asset managers, custodian, banks and administrators on gathering and analysing relevant data from a reporting
perspective.
• The role will also contribute to establishing and monitoring overall Governance of policies and processes within the team.
• The ideal candidate will understand multi asset class investments, understand performance analysis and investment reporting, be detailed oriented and proficient with excel.
• We will consider candidates with a background in middle office, operations, fund accounting, performance analysis and Investment risk. Exposure to a multi asset investment operation is important.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law, Risk Management, or a related field• 5+ years of relevant experience in risk management, middle office, fund accounting, performance analysis within asset management.
• Understanding of investment products (equities, fixed income, funds, derivatives, alternatives)
• High ethical standards, strong integrity, and attention to detail
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel and compliance/risk management systems
