JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
As an Offshore Rigger, you’ll play a vital role in the safe and efficient rigging, lifting, and positioning of heavy materials and equipment on offshore oil rigs or wind farms in KSA. You’ll ensure all lifting operations comply with safety standards to prevent accidents and equipment damage.
Key Responsibilities:
Rigging Operations:
- Assist with lifting and moving heavy materials and equipment.
- Set up, inspect, and maintain rigging equipment (slings, shackles, cranes).
- Ensure all gear meets weight and safety requirements.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to offshore safety regulations (OSHA, API, company standards).
- Participate in safety meetings, identify risks, and ensure all personnel are informed.
Maintenance & Inspection:
- Inspect rigging gear regularly for wear and damage.
- Keep work areas organized and maintain records of inspections.
Teamwork & Coordination:
- Collaborate with crane operators, supervisors, and offshore teams.
- Assist with rigging system assembly and load-bearing operations.
Training & Development:
- Stay updated on industry best practices and safety regulations.
- Maintain relevant certifications (BOSIET, Crane signaling, etc.).
Requirements:
- Experience: Offshore or industrial rigging experience preferred.- Certifications: Valid offshore survival (BOSIET, HUET), certified rigger, crane signaling a plus.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, load assessment, and safety standards.
- Physical Requirements: Able to work in physically demanding offshore conditions.
