JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We're seeking a candidate for the position of Operation Safety Manager (OSM) in the organisation of one of our clients in Saudi Arabia who is currently undertaking railway operations. The role will be with the client’s organization. The OSM will be primarily responsible for the implementation and continuous development of the operator’s Safety Management System and so ensuring that all risks are adequately assessed and that controls are effectively implemented in order to achieve and maintain railway safety levels and suitable and sufficient risk management. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, as you'll be expected to interact with an international team, executives and be the railways immediate representative with government officials on a frequent basis.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience & Qualifications
• Degree qualification holder (or equivalent industry experience)
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Railways experience is a must
• 15 years of experience in railways
• 10 years of experience in similar roles. Lack of years of experience can be compensated by railway project exposure, skills and attitude.

Essential
• Railway operations knowledge and experience in a safety related role
• Training & Competency experience
• Understanding of railway safety case
• Appreciation of international railway standards, such as EN, OSHA, NFPA
• Writing and implementing network safety practices and procedures in a railway environment
