JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Planning Manager to join our dynamic team in the construction industry in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project planning, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Planning Manager will play a crucial role in developing project schedules, monitoring progress, and coordinating with various stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using appropriate project management tools.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying any potential risks or delays and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct regular meetings with project teams to review progress, discuss challenges, and update schedules.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure that all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company standards.
- Lead the planning team in developing resource allocation plans, ensuring optimal use of labor and materials.
- Analyze historical data and trends to inform future project planning and budgeting.
- Facilitate communication among project team members, contractors, and clients to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Participate in the development of project proposals and bids, providing planning insights and expertise.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in project planning and management within the construction industry.
- Proven experience with project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience in mentoring and developing junior staff.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
