JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
It will be a state of the art, fully automated warehouse that will be capable of storing over 18,000 pallets when the site is fully utilized and store Ambient , Chill and frozen products. Its operation will be completely guided by a Tier 1 WMS, fully interfaced with our ERP and will require specific skills/experience in order to maximize fully the efficiency gains that such a system can provide. Riyadh currently delivers 17% of company turnover with the potential for 20+% in the future based on per capita spend, thus this warehouse forms a critical part of the businesss growth plans for the future.
Purpose of the job
To ensure that the automation system is operating efficiently; maximizing uptime through preventative maintenance and problem rectification. Using PLC prompts to identify issues and carry out appropriate repairs and driving crane and conveyor optimization.
Key Accountabilities:
- Perform maintenance, inspection and repair work on the components of the automated systems (e.g. stacker cranes, conveyors etc)
- Carry out failure analysis on PLC Level and troubleshooting
- Replacement of hardware components and configuration of sensors and encoders.
- Customizing and optimizing electrical attachments
REQUIREMENTS
- Qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Trained to Master or Technician in this or a related field
- Knowledge and experience of PLC programming with Step 7 as well as in the field of business systems and drive technology
- Minimal experience: 3 years in Warehouse PLC operations
- Languages: English, Arabic preferred
