Industrial Complex, Riyadh

The center of Alfanar's industrial activities is Alfanar Industrial Complex situated in the Third Industrial Zone on Al-Kharj Road, Riyadh. Spread across 700,000 square meters, the Complex houses Alfanar's facilities. The Complex has a comprehensive infrastructure including a data and communication center as well as a commercial zone.

Job Purpose:

Manage the interface between the metal factory and internal customers (other business units of Alfanar), ensuring customer demand is scheduled within the metal factory (in coordination with production planning) to give accurate commitment dates, and then ensure all customer orders are delivered on time. Represent internal customers within the metal factory, and ensure they are satisfied by fulfilling their requirements.

Key Accountability Areas:

• Effective communication with internal customers and customer satisfaction:
  • Manage the interface between the metal factory and other business units, ensure effective and efficient communication with them, and represent them internally and follow their demand.
  • Receive and review monthly demand from business units, ensure completeness of information needed by the metal factory, and analyze the demand by comparing it with the annual budget and historical data.
  • Organize periodic meetings with business units to review demand, follow progress, and discuss any concerns.
• Conduct capacity planning:
  • Jointly with the production scheduling team, conduct reliable capacity planning studies, and use them to split orders between in-house fabrication and outsourcing partners, allocate machines to each business unit, define machine loading, and ensure full plant utilization.
• Forecast analysis and potential risk identification:
  • In coordination with the business planning team, review updated forecasts received from business units on a monthly basis, identify any potential risks which may prevent future demand fulfillment, and take actions as needed.
• Production schedule preparation and providing promised dates:
  • Ensure production schedules are prepared on time by the production scheduling team, respecting internal customers' priorities, and give commitments to customers accordingly.
• Follow up plan execution and document control:
  • Ensure all deadlines are respected by everyone and escalate any delays to management.
  • Closely follow production plan execution with programming and production teams, and keep internal customers updated with progress and delivery status.
  • Follow outsourcing of any bottleneck processes as identified during capacity planning.
  • Ensure all demand planning documents and trackers are always updated including the demand master plan.
• Timely and accurate ERP activities:
  • Ensure production orders related to the monthly plan are opened on time, raw materials consumed on time and correctly, monitor cost variances, and report any concerns.
  • Ensure production orders do not stay open for a long time and are closed at the beginning of the next month.
  • Ensure in-transit stock between the metal factory and business units is minimal by ensuring business units make goods receipts on time.
  • Ensure bill of materials creation/updates are done on time and accurately.
  • Create purchase requests for all outsourced processes.
  • Participate in stock count activities by performing SAP activities requested from him/her.
• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Reporting:
  • Prepare periodic reports and analysis of demand planning KPIs including plan percentage completion and on-time delivery.

  • Provide a periodic report detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

  • Resolve any related problems that arise and escalate any complex operational issues.

  • Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities as much as possible.

Academic Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.

Work Experience:

• 4 to 6 years.
