Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven project manager / business developer with strong expertise in the conventional and/or renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing projects end-to-end, driving business growth through strategic partnerships, developing client relationships, and identifying opportunities across energy markets. This role requires a blend of project execution capabilities and business development acumen.
Responsibilities
Project management
Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of energy projects (conventional or renewable) within scope, time, and budget.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Manage project risks, financial performance, and resource allocation.
Provide regular reporting and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Business development
Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities in power generation, renewable energy, and energy transition sectors.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, government bodies, investors, and partners.
Lead the preparation of proposals, bids, and presentations for new projects.
Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and feasibility studies to support strategic decisions.
Negotiate contracts, MoUs, and agreements in alignment with company objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, energy, or electrical engineering preferable.
5-7 years of experience in project management and/or business development within the energy sector (oil & gas, power generation, solar, wind, hydrogen, or other renewables).
Proven track record of delivering complex projects from initiation to completion.
Strong understanding of EPC contracts, project finance, and energy sector regulations.
Experience in stakeholder engagement and client relationship management.
PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification preferred.
