JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Purchase Manager to join our team in the Food & Barrages industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all purchasing activities within the organization, ensuring that the procurement process is efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the company's goals and objectives. The Purchase Manager will play a crucial role in establishing strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, and maintaining high levels of quality and delivery performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans and policies to support the organization's objectives and requirements.
- Lead and manage the purchasing team, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Monitor market trends, research new products and technologies, and recommend innovative solutions to improve procurement processes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and requirements, and ensure that sourcing strategies meet business objectives.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, and drive continuous improvement in supplier performance, quality, and delivery.
- Conduct regular supplier evaluations, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and optimize inventory levels, minimize stock holding costs, and ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials and supplies.
- Monitor and analyze purchasing metrics and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.- Proven experience more than 5 years as a Purchase Manager or in a similar procurement role within the Food & Barrages industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and procurement best practices.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, conduct market research, and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities, with a focus on building and maintaining strong business relationships.
- Proficiency in using procurement and supply chain management software, and familiarity with industry-specific tools and technologies.
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements, ethical sourcing practices, and sustainability initiatives within the food and barrages sector.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English. Arabic both.
