Description
Scope of Service
- Colorectal Therapy Program
The Colorectal Therapy Program provides specialized, holistic, patient centered services for adults and paediatrics with stomas, enterocutaneous fistula, disorders of defecation and adults referred to the Section of Colorectal Surgery, throughout inpatient, outpatient and home health care settings including nurse led-clinics. Colorectal Therapists are privileged to assess diagnose and treat patients with conditions related to their stoma or wound and patients requiring non-surgical treatment for defaecatory disorders.
The Unit also undertakes
- Registration of hereditary colorectal diseases
- Coordination of care
- Tumour board coordination
- Counseling for patients and their families

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current nursing license from country of origin
- Two years recent acute care nursing experience
