Overview

Aramco is seeking a Research & Development Project Engineer to join the Research Support Division (RSD) of our Research & Development Center (R&DC) which is responsible for providing all the innovative support needed for the Research & Development Center employees to perform their work effectively in order to deliver high quality outputs.

The Research & Development Project Engineer's primary role is to support Research & Development projects and provide services to project leaders by implementing project management tools, such as: cost estimation, scheduling, planning, and Integrated Project Team (IPT) formation. The Research & Development Project Engineer will be part of the IPT responsible of the project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Drive projects through lifecycles to successful completion, ensuring solutions are practical and aligned to business goals.

Support other project leaders to structure their project by implementing project management best practices: Facilitate the definition of scope, goals, deliverables and schedule project activities with breakdowns.

Identify project risks at early stages and provide mitigation plans.

Proactively drive processes and accountability by analyzing project performance through by tracking specific KPIs and proposing corrective actions where needed.

Coach others in best practices and tools for successful project management.

Drive Proof of Concept (POC) with industrial sites and headquarter teams to evaluate plausibility of potential solutions.

Review project scoping and develop preliminary project budgeting.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Requirement

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field, MSc degree preferred.

Professional Engineer with 10+ years of expertise spanning program management, R&D technology development, cost estimation, quality management and stakeholder engagement.

Proven ability to influence multi-million-dollar engineering and construction programs, integrating value engineering practices and driving continuous improvements, leading lifecycle assessments and feasibility studies, managing Pre-FEED and execution phases, and identifying opportunities.

Expertise in project management in theory and practical experience. Ability to Manage, Scope, Schedule, Cost and quality requirement, ability to facilitate & implement change management.

Familiar with process safety, such as HAZOP and HAZID.
