JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Risk Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia, and work on NEOM project. The ideal candidate will have a consultancy background and will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with our engineering projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that risks are effectively managed and that projects are delivered on time and within budget. This position is perfect for someone with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for safety and risk management in engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments for engineering projects, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate risk management processes into the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain risk management plans, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze risk data and generate reports for stakeholders, highlighting key risks and proposed actions.
- Facilitate risk workshops and meetings to engage project teams in proactive risk management.
- Monitor and review the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies and adjust plans as necessary.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes related to risk management.
- Provide training and support to project teams on risk management principles and tools.
- Work closely with quality assurance and compliance teams to ensure all projects meet safety and risk standards.
- Assist in the development of emergency response and contingency plans for engineering projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management or engineering roles, preferably within the construction or energy sectors.
- Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and methodologies, such as ISO 31000 or similar.
- Proficient in risk assessment tools and software, with demonstrated ability to analyze complex data.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
- Professional certifications in risk management (such as PMI-RMP, FRM, or similar) are a plus.
