SAP BW Technical Consultant

Job purpose

This position exists to assist in the development / L2 support of technical solutions in SAP BI efficiently, in a timely manner and quality standards as per the defined policies and procedures to achieve departmental operational plans and developments.

Key accountability areas

• Implement Solution Manager functionalities. Responsible to leverage Solution Manager functionality.
• Act as subject matter expert for the Solution Manager application and work with process owners, architects, and delivery teams to identify opportunities to automate SAP processes utilizing Solution Manager functionality.
• Resolve production incidents during the support and maintenance phase within the defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure system stability and customer satisfaction.

• Produce high quality technical documents for all implementations within the defined deadlines to ensure documentation standards and templates are followed for knowledge transfer across the team.
• Perform and document impact analysis and development estimates for Requests for Change and Project Assessments / Scoping with accurate effort estimates and low-level design on technical solution ensuring that proposed solutions and requirements are viable and can be delivered to the satisfaction of the customer.

• Assist in the preparation of project plans for activities performed within the framework of a given project. This includes defining project scope as well as preparing work plans for the project.

• Comply with related policies and procedures and work instructions.

• Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.

Academic qualification

Bachelor degree in Information Management Sciences and Systems
