Job Summary:
The Senior Construction Manager oversees and manages all aspects of construction activities, from inception to completion. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive experience in construction management, and the ability to coordinate various teams and stakeholders. The Senior Construction Manager will ensure that projects are completed within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Strategy:
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand the project goals, objectives, and constraints.
- Develop a comprehensive project execution plan for the engineering phase, outlining key milestones, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Work closely with the project team to align strategies with overall project objectives.

2. Budgeting and Cost Management:
- Collaborate with the project cost control team to develop and manage the budget for the engineering phase.
- Monitor expenditures, analyze cost trends, and identify potential cost-saving measures.
- Ensure that the project stays within the allocated budget constraints.

3. Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks associated with the engineering phase and develop strategies for risk mitigation.
- Work with project teams to implement risk management plans and contingencies.
- Monitor and assess risks throughout the engineering phase and propose adjustments as needed.

4. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and motivate the engineering team, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.
- Collaborate with engineering professionals, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design elements into the construction phase.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination among various project teams.

5. Quality Assurance:
- Oversee the development and implementation of quality control measures during the engineering phase.
- Ensure that engineering designs meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Implement a rigorous review process to identify and address design issues promptly.

6. Schedule Management:
- Develop and manage project schedules for the engineering phase, ensuring alignment with overall project timelines.
- Monitor progress and identify potential delays, implementing corrective measures as necessary.
- Coordinate with the project scheduler to optimize workflow and resource allocation.

7. Contract Management:
- Collaborate with the procurement and legal teams to manage contracts with engineering consultants and subcontractors.
- Ensure that all contractual obligations related to the engineering phase are met.
- Address and resolve any contractual issues that may arise during the engineering phase.

8. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that engineering designs adhere to relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals and permits for the engineering phase.

9. Client Interaction:
- Engage with clients to provide updates on the progress of the engineering phase.
- Address client concerns and feedback, ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project.

10. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the engineering phase.
- Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects to enhance efficiency and

Requirements:
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Construction Manager or similar role, with a minimum of 20-25 years of relevant construction experience.
3. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
4. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
5. Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate teams.
6. Solid understanding of safety regulations and practices in the construction industry.
7. Proficient in using construction management software and tools.
8. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
