The project:
• This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.
• Mace is currently providing programme management and looking for high-calibre experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project.
• Responsible for managing the construction delivery of MEP services on projects to the agreed outcomes for time, budget, safety and quality requirements.
• Responsible for providing a high-quality, time-efficient and profitable delivery with accountability for compliance, governance, assurance, and managing teams of construction employees. Develops, builds and retains relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure the success of the role.

You’ll be responsible for:
• Review of consultant and contractor designs.
• Provide input into all aspects of the procurement process including preparation of briefs and bid documentation, prequalification of consultants/contractors and the bid/appointment process.
• Provide input into the development of the MEP schedule and review contractor submissions.
• Supervise technical coordination meetings with consultants, contractors and utility providers.
• Review of pre-construction documentation provided by the contractor including shop drawings, material/equipment submittals and samples, quality plans and method statements.
• Review of construction progress including programme and quality control/ auditing.
• Take a lead in the coordination of MEP design and fabric. Proficient knowledge of construction build elements, including sequencing and dependencies to ensure consideration, collaboration and coordination with build elements.
• Reviewing all the testing and commissioning activities and liaising with the independent commissioning authority.
• Development of project MEP close-out strategy and review of documentation such as record drawings and O&M manuals provided by the contractor.
• Support the commercial team in the valuation of works, change control or claims.
• Assist in the production of project reports.
• Report to the project manager and client MEP directly.
• Accountable for the construction aspects of the MEP services and management of the site environment, programme, health safety and wellbeing, quality and commissioning of the project. Leads the programme review process with trade specialists, checking for productivity, key issues/blockers and trade-to-trade coordination, using digital technologies to ensure the project/package is on schedule. The ability to identify trends, key issues or critical path risks is fundamental.
• Manages the quality assurance process, ensuring that a high level of installation quality is provided and that all trade contractors and consultants follow the agreed process.
• Prepares and implements delivery strategies and programmes for all phases of the project, ensuring the key milestones, interfaces, dependencies, logistics and work sequencing are all properly considered.
Requirements:
You’ll need to have:• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or building services engineering.
• Discipline-specific professional registration with CIBSE, IET, IMechE, SoPHE or CIOB.
• Knowledge of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and relevant work experience working on high-valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
• SMSTS and CSCS card.
• Experience in leading an MEP team on a major project.
• Ability to manage multiple MEP works packages in parallel.
• Proven track record in delivering projects with large-scale MEP value.
• Experience in the relevant construction sector.
• Demonstrated track record of successful projects/contributions.
