The project:

This opportunity is to be involved in a Major mixed-use development, in Riyadh. The programme consists of over 200 projects including Cultural and heritage assets, F&B, Retail and Hotels, commercial buildings, and educational facilities.

Mace are currently providing the Programme Management Office overseeing this development and are looking for high-calibre experienced people.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Develop and implement cost reporting frameworks and methodologies that align with industry best practices and organizational objectives.
• Lead the preparation of detailed cost reports, including variances against budgets, forecasts, and historical data, to provide insightful analysis on project performance.
• Coordinate with project teams, finance, and other stakeholders to gather, validate, and analyze cost data.
• Provide advice on cost management strategies, risk assessment, and mitigation plans to optimize project financial performance.
• Establish and maintain robust cost control processes and systems to ensure data integrity and reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cost management practices, leveraging technology and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare and present cost reports and analyses to senior management, project teams, and external stakeholders, as required.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards, including AACE and RICS guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification from AACE (Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering) or RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) is preferred.
• Excellent data management skills including Microsoft Excel, use of advance formulas, pivot tables. Experience in PowerPivot, PowerQuery and DAX expressions would be highly advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in cost reporting tools and software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organization and external partners.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and work under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

You’ll also have:

• Experience or equivalent supporting the delivery of a range of PMO and Project Controls services within the construction sector and/or management consultancy.
• APM Planning and Project Controls (PPC) Foundation and Practitioner.
• Progress towards achievement of Chartered status (or equivalent) and/or membership of professional a relevant professional institution e.g. Association of Project Managers.
