JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and implementation of Statistical Database and Data Warehouse policies and procedures covering all areas of activity
- Supervise day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and processes taking into account leading practices, changes in business environment, cost reduction and productivity improvement
- Establish working relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Collect feedback from internal and external stakeholders on issues being faced and other requirements
- Contribute to the preparation of progress reports directed to all relevant stakeholders to keep them informed of progress
- Actively gain exposure and insights to local market development, business opportunities and the existing regulatory landscape
- Actively participate in on-the-job training, mentoring and coaching of subordinates
- Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility and monitor the workflow
- Promote a high-performance working environment embracing the organization's values
- Develop / update guidelines to standardize statistical database build and storage of data collected via CAPI, CATI, and CAWI surveys
- Establish policies for archiving, preservation, retention, and disposal of data
- Oversee dynamic designs maintenance to enable future objectives and strategies incorporation and ensure data privacy controls
- Ensure translation of high-level designs into low-level designs in a timely and proper manner
- Oversee trainings and coaching sessions for related stakeholders to increase awareness on data solutions and best practices
- Oversee the definition of data ingestion readiness in order to enable databases accesses for Statistics Business Areas
- Oversee data service architecture issues, review and evaluate redimiation plans, and provide support as needed
- Assess and prioritize data quality improvements and operational procedures to enable the correction of data defects
- Oversee feedback from relevant functions and other stakeholders and ensure reflection of changes and improvements in a timely and proper manner
- Evaluate reports including KPI results, assess proposed improvements and / or corrective actions, and recommend best course of action
Requirements:
Qualifications- 6+ years of experience in a Data Architecture field
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineer, Computer Science or equivalent is required
