Overview

Saudi Aramco is seeking a Senior Life Cycle Analysis Scientist to join the Energy Traceability Technology (ETT), Technology Strategy & Planning Department (TSPD).

TSPD is responsible for developing Saudi Aramco's technology outlook and strategy, managing the technology portfolio and intellectual property, supporting the Company's climate and sustainability initiatives, and ensuring the commercial viability of technologies through effective deployment planning.

Energy Traceability Technology (ETT) group which is responsible for tracking emissions across the oil and gas supply chains globally allowing policy makers, customers, and investors to make decisions based on scientific insights and not emotional rhetoric. The Senior Life Cycle Analysis Scientist's primary role is to perform research in the areas of energy life cycle analysis, oil and gas carbon intensity assessment, refinery simulation and optimization, and carbon economics.

Key Responsibilities

Build energy systems models and perform detailed life cycle analysis (LCA) of different petroleum, natural gas, hydrogen, and e-fuel pathways

Lead collaborative research with universities and research institutions for increased intellectual property opportunities and future business advancement of Saudi Aramco

Publish peer-reviewed articles in high impact journals

Maintain and expand working knowledge of applicable software for programming (Matlab, Python, VB Excel, R), data analysis, and visualization

Provide and manage a safe, accident-free office environment; follow all company safety rules in performing job duties

Participate in major investigative projects as assigned

Perform other miscellaneous related duties as requested

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Requirements

Ph.D. Degree in Science/Engineering/Physics/Mathematics Discipline as appropriate for the area of expertise for the assigned job

Seven years (7) experience in a substantive industrial, technological or research area relevant to life cycle analysis (LCA)

Candidate should be comfortable in working independently or part of a project team, frequent project presentation and travel to meetings at conferences and universities

Must possess good work habits, a strong work ethic, and be able to adhere to company work hours, policies, and standard business etiquette

Must be able to communicate and comprehend English accurately, clearly and concisely at a level required to perform the job as outlined
