Senior Manager Road Design

Description

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced senior manager - roads design (MAS7-20002074) to lead the development and design of the transportation infrastructure within our transformative entertainment and cultural destination. This role will focus on creating efficient, sustainable, and innovative roadway designs that enable seamless connectivity throughout Qiddiya, catering to a diverse range of users.

Your expertise will be vital in overseeing all aspects of roadway design, from initial planning through to construction, ensuring that designs meet both regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of road infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with all local standards and guidelines.
• Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical input for roadway design solutions that prioritize safety, functionality, and sustainability.
• Collaborate with various departments, including development, engineering, and planning, to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Review engineering drawings and designs, providing guidance and recommendations to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring design milestones are met without sacrificing quality.
• Conduct regular site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in road design and construction.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to junior engineers and design teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, transportation engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 7+ relevant years of demonstrated experience in roadway design and engineering, preferably in large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles and roadway design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet competing deadlines.
• Familiarity with local regulations and standards related to road design and construction.
• Leadership qualities with a focus on team development and collaboration.
