Job Description:

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior MIS Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining LAN and WAN and repairing computer hardware and software. The ideal candidate will have a computer engineering degree, at least 7 years of experience in a similar role, and expertise in systems hardware and software. The candidate should also have hands-on experience in cyber security, resolving hardware printer and connectivity issues, and email integration with educational publishers for student and faculty use. The candidate should have expert knowledge in Canvas educational systems, networks, servers, firewalls, switches, routers, enterprise distributed Wi-Fi, VPN, VoIP, POTS, CCTV, access control systems, fire and security alarm systems, desktop support, as well as experience in audio visual systems. Additionally, the candidate should have excellent English language and communications skills, software development skills, deep knowledge in ISO standards applicable to IT and education ICT, and a transferable iqama.

Responsibilities:

MIS Engineer shall play a critical role in ensuring that a company's information systems are secure, efficient, and effective in supporting business operations. Candidate must have a wide range of technical skills, as well as strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills to be successful in their role.

1. Systems architecture: Senior MIS Engineer should have experience in designing and implementing complex systems architectures that support business operations. This includes understanding how different systems and technologies work together, and designing systems that are scalable, secure, and efficient.

2. Network infrastructure: Senior MIS Engineer should have experience in configuring and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls. They should be able to implement security measures to protect against unauthorized access and ensure that network performance is optimized.

3. Cloud computing: Senior MIS Engineer should have experience in cloud computing, including configuring and maintaining cloud infrastructure, and deploying applications to cloud environments. They should be familiar with cloud services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

4. Cybersecurity: Senior MIS Engineer should have experience in implementing cybersecurity measures to protect against threats such as hacking, malware, and phishing attacks. They should be familiar with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, and have experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and vulnerability scanners.

5. Data management: Senior MIS Engineer shall be responsible for managing and organizing large amounts of data, including data storage and retrieval, data security, and data backup and recovery and ensure that data is accurate, consistent, and available to users when they need it.

6. System integration: Senior MIS Engineer shall be responsible for integrating different information systems, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Canvas or other Educational Platforms, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, and Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems. MIS engineer shall have a deep understanding of how different systems work together, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills.

7. Software development: Senior MIS Engineer shall develop custom software applications to meet specific business needs. This involves gathering requirements from stakeholders, designing and coding software, testing it to ensure it meets requirements, and deploying it to end-users.

8. Project management: Senior MIS Engineer shall be responsible for managing information system projects, including defining project scope, timelines, and deliverables, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. MIS engineer shall have strong project management skills, including the ability to manage resources, track progress, and communicate with stakeholders.

9. User support: Senior MIS Engineer shall provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting, training, and documentation and must be able to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users, and have a strong customer service orientation.

10. Technology evaluation and selection: Senior MIS Engineer shall be responsible for evaluating new technologies and selecting the ones that best meet the company's business needs. This requires keeping up-to-date with the latest technology trends and innovations, as well as understanding the specific needs of the organization.

11. Information system security: Senior MIS Engineer shall be responsible for ensuring the security of information systems by implementing appropriate security measures, conducting regular security audits, and staying up-to-date with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities. This requires a deep understanding of security technologies and best practices, as well as strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

12. Communication skills: Senior MIS Engineer should have excellent communication skills and should be able to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Should have excellent spoken and written English language.

13. Information Security Standards: Senior MIS Engineer shall follow information security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company information systems and data.

14. Project Management Standards: Senior MIS Engineer should follow project management standards such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, and Agile to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders.

15. Software Development Standards: Senior MIS Engineer shall follow software development standards such as ISO 12207, IEEE 829, and CMMI to ensure that software development processes are consistent, repeatable, and produce high-quality software.

16. Cloud Computing Standards: Senior MIS Engineer should follow cloud computing standards such as ISO 27018, CSA, and SOC 2 to ensure that cloud services are secure, reliable, and meet regulatory requirements.

17. Data Management Standards: Senior MIS Engineer should follow data management standards such as ISO 8000, ISO 15000, and DAMA to ensure that data is accurate, consistent, and available to users when they need it.

18. Compliance Standards: Senior MIS Engineer should follow compliance standards such as HIPAA, SOX, and GDPR to ensure that information systems and data are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.

19. Reporting: Senior MIS Engineer shall provide regular reports which should contain actionable insights that enable management to make informed decisions about information systems and related initiatives.
