JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payments QA Engineer with deep expertise in banking and financial services, particularly within payment systems (SWIFT, RTGS, ACH, ISO 20022, card payments). The role requires a strong background in test automation, functional/non-functional testing, and end-to-end validation of payment applications, ensuring compliance, security, and reliability of high-value financial transactions.
• Lead QA activities across payment applications, ensuring full coverage of functional, integration, performance, and regression testing.
• Design and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and scripts for payment platforms and related banking systems.
• Validate end-to-end payment flows including SWIFT, ISO 20022, RTGS, ACH, cross-border, and card-based transactions.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and product owners to understand requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
• Ensure compliance with banking standards, regulatory requirements, and security protocols.
• Drive automation strategy for payments testing, utilizing industry-leading tools and frameworks.
• Conduct root cause analysis of defects, ensuring timely resolution and minimal production impact.
• Mentor junior QA team members, promoting best practices in quality engineering and test automation.
• Provide detailed test reporting, defect metrics, and continuous quality improvement recommendations to stakeholders.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).• 6–10 years of QA experience in the banking/financial services sector, with at least 3 years specializing in payments domain.
• Strong expertise in payment systems (SWIFT, RTGS, ACH, SEPA, ISO 20022, card schemes).
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, JMeter, Postman, etc.).
• Good knowledge of API testing, message queues, and middleware validation.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance (PCI-DSS, PSD2, AML, KYC).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
