We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Planning Manager to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for a critical storm water project. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in project planning and management, with a strong background in storm water management projects. As a Senior Planning Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and coordination of the project to ensure its successful execution and completion.
Your new role, what's involved?
Project Planning:
• Develop and implement comprehensive project planning strategies, including timelines, schedules, and resource allocation, to meet project objectives and deadlines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and ensure alignment with project goals.
Schedule Management:
• Create and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring that all activities are well-defined, sequenced, and resource-loaded.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or issues, proactively taking corrective actions as necessary.
Resource Allocation:
• Allocate and manage project resources efficiently, including labor, equipment, and materials, to optimize project performance.
• Ensure that resources are available and utilized effectively to meet project milestones.
Risk Management:
• Identify potential risks and challenges related to the storm water project and develop risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle to minimize their impact on project success.
Reporting and Documentation:
• Prepare regular project status reports and communicate updates to key stakeholders, including senior management.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
Quality Assurance:
• Ensure that all project activities adhere to established quality standards and specifications.
• Implement quality control processes to deliver a high-quality storm water management system.
Budget Management:
• Collaborate with the finance department to manage project budgets and control project costs.
• Track and report on project expenditures, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints.
REQUIREMENTS
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in project planning and management, with a strong focus on storm water management projects or any other large scale infrastructure project.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
• Proficiency in project management software tools and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of local regulations and standards related to storm water management in Saudi Arabia is highly desirable.
• PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.
