JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
• Responsible for the management of the Softs-cape technician and foreman team
• Reviews/comments on proposed technical deviations from approved Soft-scape concepts so clients can make informed decisions.
• Oversee the planting and installation of trees, shrubs, and flowers. Ensure proper spacing, depth, and planting techniques are followed.
• Responsible for works to establish the requirements of the project, and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria.
• Responsible for monitoring and reporting to the Project Manager on the progress of his assigned activities within the project, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.
• Provide regular reports and presentations on progress to senior management and the client as necessary.
• Supervise the irrigation process & assist with any spot irrigation repairs as they are needed.
• Provide recommendations for ongoing maintenance and care of the softscape elements, including pruning, fertilization, irrigation, and pest control.
REQUIREMENTS
• Degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field.
• Knowledge of plant species, growth habits, and care requirements.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other relevant tools.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and project management principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of sustainable landscaping practices and environmental considerations.
