JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Specialist Engineer, DCS-SIS Systems

To maintain and improve the manufacturing facilities in compliance with safety standards and reliability / integrity requirements
To supervise and lead a team consisting Engineers and others as where applicable base on actual organization set up in order to provide engineering support to operations and maintenance activities and to support OPEX/CAPEX project based on the particular area's job scope of work, in compliance with safety standards and requirements.

1. Lead or provide technical resolutions / recommendations to the plant issues in the area(s) of specialty or in an assigned field to ensure reliable and safe plants operations.
2. Lead or Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to address or investigate major concerns / disruptions and/or improvement opportunities in the areas of specialty or assignment.
3. Develop or Review technical deliverables to ensure solutions to plant issues is in compliance with Engineering standards, reliability/integrity and safety requirements..
4. Execute departmental initiatives and strategies in order to meet long term company goals.
5. Conduct performance reviews of subordinates and execute staff development program on the concerned area(s).
6. Attending OME or Other communication meetings.
7. Response to query or assignments not falling down on Main key accountability.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

1. Bachelor degree in Engineering in following majors or equivalent from reputable university. To be Majored in Electronics Engineering / Electrical Engineering (with major in Electronics).
2. Certifications such as Professional Engineer or Certified Professional are highly desirable.
3. More than 15 years of technical experience in oil refining & petro-chemical plants preferably with at least 4 years in senior technical position.
4. Combined experience of design, commissioning, studies, calculation & troubleshooting.
5. Demonstrated specialty and expertise and records on related field of work. Hand experience in Distributed Control Systems (Yokogawa) and Safety Instrumentation Systems (Triconix) at expert level.
6. Thorough knowledge of engineering practices, calculation methods, and design details related to field speciality.
7. Extensive Troubleshooting and commissioning experience in field of speciality.
8. Knowledge of process & operations, maintenance & engineering practices in refinery or petrochemical plants.
9. Results orientation and lead by sample.
10. Demonstrated Problem solving skills.
11. Sound decision making ability.
12. Full Technological orientation.
13. Capable to guide and train Engineers in related area and act as technical commander during emergency conditions.

Rabigh Refining & Petrochemical Co. - Petro Rabigh - was founded as a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo Chemical in 2005. The plant is valued at US $10 billion and originally produced 18.4 million tons per annum (mtpa) of petroleum-based products and 2.4 mtpa of ethylene and propylene-based derivatives.

Petro Rabigh II is an expansion project valued at US $8.4 billion - 25% funded by the public and the remainder equally funded by Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo Chemical. Petro Rabigh II is scheduled to be in full production by 4th Quarter 2017 and will produce a wide range of new products.
