JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Our client is looking for an Arabic Speaking Supply Chain Officer / Supervisor to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage procurement processes for chemicals, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, quality control, and competitive pricing.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers in the chemical industry.
• Oversee inventory management activities, including forecasting demand, managing stock levels, and minimizing stockouts.
• Coordinate logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and customs clearance.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain accurate supply chain reports and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and procedures for handling chemicals.
• Manage a team of supply chain personnel (if applicable for Supervisor role).
• Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with company goals.
• Identify and implement new technologies to improve supply chain efficiency.
Requirements:
Role Requirements:• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a supply chain role within the chemical industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven ability to manage procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
• Experience in logistics coordination, including transportation, warehousing, and customs clearance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge on the SASO and SABER System in Saudi.
• Experienced working with Supply Chain/Procurement related Software's
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic is essential.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
