Systems Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose

This position exists to design, assess, analyze, develop, and activate corporate systems. Plan, develop, execute, and monitor its activities by optimum resources at efficient cost.

Key Accountability Areas

  • Systems Design:
    • Manage the creation of processes, procedures, workflows, manuals, and policies.
  • Systems Assessments:
    • Manage the process of maturity assessments against the process activities to highlight areas of improvement or concerns.
    • Oversee application problems by conferring with clients, evaluating procedures and processes.
  • Systems Gap Analysis:
    • Manage and eliminate process gaps through process engineering methodologies.
    • Systematically review and continuously improve applied systems to cope with internal and external fluctuations.
  • Systems Development:
    • Develop and document end-to-end processes of all functions within scope.
    • Facilitate process workflow modeling to collaborate on process improvements, automation capabilities, and clearly defined end-to-end use cases.
    • Map the AS-IS and TO-BE processes using process mapping tools such as BPMN, process modeling, and process re-engineering including root cause analysis with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Systems Activations:
    • Manage and prioritize systems requirements as well as respective activation cycles.
    • Ensure effective and efficient system activations across all functions within scope.
  • Systems Best Practice:
    • Oversee information and trends to ensure that the output of processes is achieving the desired results and that services are meeting agreed-upon service levels.

    • Ability to recruit, recognize, and cultivate high performers and expose them in order to create a robust second line of management.
    • Ability to recognize low performers and guide them to improve or release them.
    • Ability to treat subordinates equally without any discrimination.
    • Assessment criteria of subordinates is performance that leads to planned results.
    • Ensure availability of delegation of authority matrix to have sufficient delegations as per company policy.
  • Responsibility:
    • Must take full responsibility for operations as per the job description and the required deliverables from this position, taking into consideration the general company guidelines.
    • Able to anticipate problems and make the necessary proactive steps to prevent them.
    • Ability to take necessary and proper timely decisions.
  • Delivery:
    • Deliver the required results in a timely manner with required quality and cost.

  • Business Planning and Performance:
    • Able to transform corporate goals into business plans.
    • Able to plan, follow up, and execute those plans, whether they are annual or development plans.
    • Monitor plan performance and initiate action to strengthen results and take corrective action accordingly.
    • Provide periodic work progress reports.
    • Responsible for monitoring and controlling budgets and expenses to achieve optimum cost efficiency.
  • Organizational Development:
    • Develop the organizational structure according to current requirements, taking into consideration future and development plans.
    • Ensure availability of job descriptions for all job roles and deployment.
  • Business Process Improvements:
    • Develop and coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities as much as possible.
    • Should be conversant and able to navigate through IT solutions, especially those relevant to the job and business.
    • Promote automated systems and use them fully to spread their culture.
  • Quality:

  • Adaptation:

Academic Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management
